Start correctly

Feature explanations, commands, setup and troubleshooting.

01

Correct first-time setup

Follow the order below; each step removes a common source of failure.

1

Add the bot to the correct server

Use Add free, choose a server you own or can manage, and approve the requested permissions. The bot does not request the broad Administrator permission.

2

Place the bot role above roles it manages

In Discord role settings, move the community bot above member, color, support, and reward roles. Discord blocks management of higher roles.

3

Open the community dashboard and allow synchronization

Sign in, open the community dashboard, and choose the server. If resources are still syncing, keep the bot online and refresh shortly.

4

Configure one section and save it

Enable only what you need, choose channels and roles, and save that section. Each section saves independently.

5

Test with a non-administrator account

Test welcome, roles, tickets, and commands as a regular member. Owner-only testing can hide permission problems.

Why can a feature appear but not run?

A feature passes four separate checks.
  1. Platform availabilityThe platform owner may mark a feature free, paid, or currently unavailable.
  2. Server planPaid features require an active paid license linked to this exact server.
  3. Dashboard switchMany systems stay off until the server owner explicitly enables and saves them.
  4. Discord permissionThe bot must see the target channel and have the exact permission needed for the action.

Permissions, in plain language

The bot does not need the broad Administrator permission. Grant only what the systems you use need.

Moderation permissionsTimeout, kick, ban, and message cleanup each require their matching Discord permission.
